Treatment of Olive Black Water by Using ROA

Test was performed by Food Control Laboratory of Aydin Commodity Exchange (accredited by TURKAK which is registered by EA and ILAC).

Control group: 2 liters of olive black water sample. ROA has not applicated to the control group.

Test group: another 2 liters of olive black water sample. ROA has applied to the test group.

Waiting duration was 48 hours after the application. At the end of this period, COD (Chemical Oxygene Demand) and BOD (Biological Oxygene Demand) values of each group has measured.

COD and BOD values of control group (in the same order): 20 327 mg/l and 8 250 mg/l.

COD and BOD values of test group (in the same order): 14 446 mg/l and 6 750 mg/l .

ROA has reduced COD and BOD values of olive black water 28,9% and 18,2% (in the same order) within 48 hours..
